PAN AFRICAN BRAND FOR CHANGE MAKER VISIONARIES

MAP IN THE RIGHT SIDE

Maps are representations of the world that influence our perception of reality. There is no objective reason to represent Africa with North at the bottom and South at the top. It’s a matter of convention and perspective. The representation of Africa on the A3K1st logo is a revolutionary act of cultural resistance, which places Africa at the center and top of the planisphere, in accordance with the afrocentric vision of the world and its historical role, cultural and economic development of humanity. This representation is opposed to the colonial view of the world and its distortions of continental proportions, which are due to the projection of Mercator, the most used for maps. This projection exaggerates the size of Europe and reduces that of Africa, creating a false impression of superiority and inferiority.
